Montreal

 Mit gut einer Stunde Verspätung in Montreal. Der Flug in der Business Class war sehr luxuriös, unser erster Flug in der 787 insgesamt angenehm.

Am Flughafen dauert es ewig, bis Hunde und Koffer ausgeladen werden. Zum Glück ist mit den Hunden alles gut, aber sie sind nach jetzt 12 Stunden in der Box ziemlich mitgenommen und jaulen den ganzen Airport zusammen. Weil die Boxen so gigantisch sind, engagieren wir zwei sehr nette Leute mit großen Gepäckwagen. Die beiden sind super nett, der Weg raus ist elend weit, und ohne diesen Service, für den wir die beiden sehr großzügig entlohnen, hätten wir das nie geschafft. 

Einreise in 🇨🇦 gewohnt unkompliziert:

„Why do you want to stay in Canada for four months?”

“We’re going on an extended Road-trip.”

“Ah, okay, Welcome to Canada!”

Nicht das demütigende Verhör, das die U.S. Border Agents so gut drauf haben.

Mietwagen geholt, Hundeboxen auseinandergenommen, die gingen gerade so in den Ford Edge.

Dann weiter nach Beloeil, noch eine gute Stunde Fahrt, die wir sehr umsichtig und unbeschadet hinter uns bringen. Das AirBnb müssen wir etwas suchen, innen ist es…gewöhnungsbedürftig

Okay, für zwei Tage wird es schon taugen.

About an hour late in Montreal. The flight in business class was very luxurious, our first flight in the 787 overall pleasant.

At the airport, it takes forever for dogs and suitcases to be unloaded. Luckily everything is fine with the dogs, but after 12 hours in the crate they are pretty battered and howling all over the airport. Because the boxes are so gigantic, we hire two very nice people with large luggage trolleys. The two are super nice, the way out is miserably far, and without this service, for which we reward them both very generously, we would never have made it.

Entry into 🇨🇦 as usual uncomplicated:

"Why do you want to stay in Canada for four months?"

"We're going on an extended road trip."

"Ah, okay, Welcome to Canada!"

Not the humiliating interrogation that the U.S. Border Agents so good at it.

Picked up a rental car, dismantled dog crates, they just about fit into the Ford Edge.

Then on to Beloeil, another good hour's drive, which we get behind us very carefully and unscathed. We have to look for the AirBnb a bit, inside it takes some getting used to. Okay, it'll be fine for two days.

20:30 totally spent to bed, felt like CET 02:30 🥱🥱🥱
